Special Notification of Road Closure(s)

There will be road closures and detours between now and June 2022 on Myrtle Ave between Fulton Street and West 3nd  Street. Also  1st  Street and 2rd  at the intersections will see detours.  2nd Street will be closed for a time between Oak Avenue and Myrtle as the streetscape project continues. The schedule may vary as construction progresses.

Beginning Monday morning October 11, 2021, the intersection of West First Street and Myrtle Avenue in downtown Sanford will be closed for construction due to the Myrtle Avenue Streetscape project. The road closure will last approximately 1 month. The contractor will be installing new drainage and electrical along with realigning the roadway. Detours will be set up to reroute traffic around the intersection. Thank you for your patience while this exciting new chapter in downtown Sanford is being constructed.
