The Public Information Office fosters cooperation and mutual respect between the Police Department and the media. The Public Information Office is responsible for disseminating information to the media and public.

For any media requests that are not time sensitive, please email SPDPIO@Sanfordfl.gov and your request will be addressed during normal business hours.  

After normal business hours, the on call Public Information Officer for the Sanford Police Department responds to critical media incidents and breaking news inquiries on an ‘on call’ basis.  Please call 407-949-2507 and/or email SPDPIO@Sanfordfl.gov for breaking news after hours.
