Florida’s Department of Health has chosen nine counties to host a health fair for its SNAP recipients and Seminole County was one of the selected few to be chosen to host such an event.  All the Health Department’s services will be available including A1C testing, blood pressure readings, COVID and Hepatitis vaccinations as well as a variety of other vendors and partners promoting health and healthy lifestyles.  The department will purchase 200 splash pad wristbands for the kids; Hebni Nutrition will bring their Fresh Stop Mobile Farmers Market bus; various dance performances and instructors for African Dancing, African Kizomba Partner Dance, salsa, hip hop, Zumba and free-style will be on the stage; Food Trucks will conduct a food truck war with one another with their chef’s hosting a meet and greet with their guests while talking about their unique perspective on healthy eating and their fresh ingredients; and staff members will lead the guests in a variety of games while vendors showcase their wares and services in the other pavilions.  The applicant requests closure of 1st Street, from Chapman Avenue to Lakeview Avenue, from 11 am until 5 pm.
